How does it work?

Immersion cooling technology revolutionizes server cooling by fully submerging hardware in a non-conductive dielectric liquid. This liquid ensures complete safety for electronic components, eliminating the risk of electrical shorts and oxidation.

By submerging servers, waste heat produced by components is efficiently absorbed by the dielectric liquid within the tank. Remarkably, this liquid can absorb approximately 1500 times more heat than air of the same volume. Subsequently, the heat is transferred to a heat exchanger, where it undergoes cooling through a secondary air-to-liquid or liquid-to-liquid process, enabling dissipation or reuse of the captured thermal energy.

Why use immersion cooling?

In today's data-driven world, data centers are vital hubs of activity, housing countless servers and networks that generate significant heat known as "waste heat" through electrical energy conversion. This excess heat, detrimental to IT equipment performance and longevity, necessitates continuous cooling efforts to maintain optimal operating conditions. Traditional cooling methods, often reliant on energy-intensive units like fans, not only strain environmental resources but also pose long-term sustainability challenges. With global data center expansion projected to surge and energy consumption poised to skyrocket, the imperative for eco-friendly solutions has never been clearer.
